To be successful in this role you must:
- Ensure that all relevant legal requirements related to local content are adhered to across all business functions, whilst keeping abreast of all relevant government guidelines and legislation.
- Raise legislative changes and any non-compliance with the management team, providing solutions for changes requiring implementation.
- Assist in assessing local third parties suitability for partnering as a Joint Venture and provide senior leadership with a shortlist of potential JV partners.
You can be expected to:
- Provide strategies in relation to Training, Research and Development, Investments in Infrastructure, Immigration and New Technologies that can contribute to the growth of Tanzanian content in the underground mining industry.
- Participate in management meetings and official government committee's related to local content.
- Develop mechanisms and periodic reports on local content performance against the statutory requirements.
- To be considered for this role you must be Degree qualified in either Legal/Finance/Commercial with experience in a multinational company and working closely with Tanzanian Government agencies.
- A high level of financial/analytical acumen along with highly developed managerial skills will be highly regarded. The successful candidate will be a critical resource to the business and the remuneration package offered will reflect the importance.
